Make Money With Domain Parking

Anyone can can make money with domain parking. If you have registered domain name(s) that you own and don't use, then you should definitely try domain parking. The more unused domains you have - the more money you can make with them.

Domain parking is a way to make money with domain's natural traffic. You can make money with them without even lifting a finger!

When you park a domain name, the domain is used to display relevant ads and every time a visitor clicks on one of the ads - you make money!

How can I park my domain name?

1. find a domain name parking service on the internet. Here are my favorites: GoDaddy, Sedo Parking

2. after you have created an account with them, you have to redirect the domain to their servers - you can find out the names of the servers on their "redirect domains" page.

3. contact your domain registrar and inform them that you want to move your domain to another server. Send them the server names and they will redirect the domain for you.

I have several of my domains parked with SEDO and you can see an example of how it looks when you park a domain - here are my "H" domains ;) Homebox.biz, Hotels-America.net

When you park your domain, be sure you optimize its layout and its keywords for search. You can do all of that with your parking service provider. ;)

Pay Per Post - Monetization Can Begin

I got an e-mail from Pay Per Post yesterday about my post "I Signed Up For PPP". I was somewhat surprised to hear from them so soon because it usually takes them more than a month for the post to get reviewed and approved.

I'm not complaining though, the opportunity to be paid for posting sounds great and from now on is available to this blog.

I will be taking them on for some of the available opportunities, but I'll try to choose the ones that are somehow related to money making niche.

Another thing I like about PPP are the PPP tools they have for their bloggers. PPP tools include:

I especially like the "referral program" with which I have already earned a decent amount. Here's a screen capture of my pending referrals and earnings from PPP referral program (if someone recognizes herself/himself - congratulations - you're on a good way to to start making money online!!)

As you can see, from 47 hits I have 8 referrals. That's a pretty conversion rate - every 6th visitor that clicks on the PPP banner signs up with the program. This is thanks to targeted traffic, but that's another topic (we'll get to that in the near future...)

So, you have here a proof that PPP is a very good program for making money online. You just have to sign up for it, the earnings will come soon after that... ;)

Add A Sitemap To Blogger

As I mentioned in my earlier post, here are step by step instructions on how to add a sitemap to blogger:

First you need to add your site to the google webmaster tools and verify it.

1. Log in to your Google Webmaster Account

2. Add your url and you will get a message that you have added a site to your account.

3. Now click on the verify link. You need to verify your account to enable access to site statistics.

4. Verify the link using the META tag that Google generates for you and copy/paste it just under the first BODY tag of your HTML.

5. When you have pasted the META tag, return to google webmaster tools account and check the box saying "I have added the META tag to my homepage... You have now only confirmed that you own the site.


Now you have to add the sitemap itself.

Since there is no possible way to add a text file to your blogger account, you have to use your site's feed as a sitemap. So, here is how you do it:

6. Click "add sitemap" and you'll be taken to this window:

7. Simply add the extension atom.xml to your url (which you've set up earlier in your Feed Burner account) and click "Add Web Sitemap"

And that's it. You have now added a sitemap to your blogger account. ;)

SEO Series Batch 4 - Add A Sitemap To Your Blog

Adding a sitemap to your blog is a "must do". By adding a sitemap, you allow the search engines to index your site more thoroughly than they would have done without one. It means that you allow your site to be indexed faster and more efficiently.

Let's take googlebot for example: by creating a sitemap, you are automatically making googlebot's job a lot easier. Through the sitemap, it can reach any part of your site and not just the index page, or maybe one or two more pages.

Of course, this automatically increases your visibility on search engines and your whole site can be found through them, not just your index page - meaning - MORE TRAFFIC!

I will post the instructions on how to add a sitemap to blogger in my next post, because for other blog hosts like Wordpress and Typepad there are plugins which can be used to automatically add a sitemap.

It might seem like you could do without a sitemap but please do not skip this one in your SEO Series because having a sitemap is one of the key steps in your SEO Optimization.

SEO Series Batch 3 - Add Meta Tags - Tell Search Engines What's Your Site About

Adding Meta Tags gives the search engines a description about your site. If you don't use the Meta Tags, then the search engine bots will automatically collect info about your site based on their scan.

But, if you add meta tags to your site, then the search engine bot goes directly to your meta tag (located in your HTML) and gathers info about your site from it.

Mata tag includes:

1. Meta Description - it is a short description what is your site all about. (my meta content is "Blogging Tips on how to Make Money Online")

2. Meta Keywords - Tell the search engine bots the keywords you want to use for your site. Don't use too many keywords, use only the relevant ones, so the search scan gets the important info about your site. (my meta keywords: Make Money, Make Money Online, Blogging Tips, Kassper)

3. Meta Author - Includes your blog's name. Do not put your own name in it unless your site's name is the same like yours.

If you are not using the Meta Tags yet, here is the step by step guide on how to add them:

1. Open your favorite text editor and write in the following - replace only the CAPS letters with your site's info:

2. Copy/Paste the text into your site's HTML just under the HEAD tag.

And that's it. You have now added Meta Tags to your blog.

Improve Alexa Ranking With Alexa Toolbar For Firefox

Firefox users can finally download the Alexa Toolbar! Up until now, only Internet Explorer Users were able to download the toolbar and there was a lot of unhappy Firefox users who couldn't have done the same.

Well, the Alexa Toolbar has finally been made available for Firefox users too!

I have one question for you. Do you even use Alexa Toolbar? And if not, I think I know the answer... no one told you to do so! Well, I'm telling you now - go to Alexa.com and download the damn toolbar!

Why Should You Use Alexa Toolbar:

1. To have a good perspective in other bloggers blogs! You'll be able to know how important is a blog according to Alexa, in other words, does the blog have any audience.

2. You get an additional feature in your main toolbar - Related links - it shows the links to sites that Alexa thinks that are similar to the one you are currently browsing. But that's just a bunch of .....

and... the most important reason why to download the Alexa Toolbar:

3. To IMPROVE YOUR ALEXA RANKING - Alexa is just like that, and it's no secret. Some say that if you buy their subscription that you can go even higher in the ranks. Just use the Alexa Toolbar and you will notice the difference. Do you have a 2 mil+ rank? Then what are you waiting for?

SEO Series Batch 2 - Submit Your Blog To Web Directories

Submitting your site to web directories is another important step in your SEO Optimization. There are many web directories that you can submit your site to and the important thing about them is that you could be getting valuable backlinks from them.

The process of submitting your site to web directories is a long and boring process, but you'll live ;), and trust me, it's well worth it!

Web directories WILL NOT bring traffic to your website! Web directories WILL GET YOU BACKLINKS from high page rank websites. It can have a huge impact on building a page rank for your blog!

Here is an example of how submitting looks like:

You have to choose your category, fill in the info about your site and submit it!

This is not to think about! MAKE TIME for it and submit your link to those directories! It will be worth your while.

To make it easier for you, here is a list of web directories sorted by their PR! Go to that list and submit submit submit!

SEO Series Batch 1 - Keyword Research

This is the first of 50+ posts about SEO Optimization and SEO Tools which will be a great reading material for all SEO starters in the blogosphere. I will start with the basics of SEO and as the posting continues the SEO blogging tips will be more detailed. So let me begin from the start...

Keyword Research For Starters:

When you start a blog the most important thing you have to do is to decide for which keywords/keyword phrases are you going to compete in the search engines. 80% of all internet's traffic is through the search engines so with quality keyword research you can get a lot of traffic on your site. The higher position on the search engines you have the more traffic you receive to your site!

When you decide for which keyword you want to compete then it's best that you use a keyword research tool. The most respected tools are Overture, WordTracker and Keyword Discovery but they are not free. For start, use a free keyword tool. Later on, when you make some money with me, you'll be able to afford to buy one ;)

It shows the estimate number of daily search activity for a specific keyword phrase on the internet across the major search engines and it'll give you a nice perspective on what is hot and what is not in the search engines.

After you have analyzed the keywords, go to google (and other search engines if you like, but google's enough) and check how much results are there in the search queries. Try to choose the keyword or keyword phrase that has high traffic and low number on results. That way you'll compete for a keyword phrase that is pretty common and has little results - with a little effort, the chances are you'll do just fine with that kind of keyword.

Get In The Google Top 10 - Post Title Optimization

Post Title Optimization is one of the most important things you need to do for getting good or great results in the SERPs. When you know how to choose a title for your post than you can get a lot of traffic from the search engines!

Optimizing Post Title Includes:

1. Choosing your title carefully - it means that you use the title that is most likely to be used for a given term
2. Use the term in your post - mention the term on the beginning of the post and in the end of your post.
3. Comment and mention the term - Respond to someone's comment and mention the term in the comment
Recently I have done a little research on how to get in the Google Top 10 for several search terms and I've been more than successful.

Here's an example: I wanted to rank in the Google's top 10 search results for the term "add categories to blogger" which is a very often used term in the search engines. The term specified shows up 22.200.000 on search results and it's not that easy to get in the first 10 pages of the search, not to say in the top 10!

But, by carefully choosing the post title for my post and doing some post title optimization I got into top 5 of the search results for that term! Try typing in the term "add categories to blogger" or "adding categories to blogger" or even "adding categories to blogspot" and you'll see my blog showing up in the 5th place!

So, by optimizing your post title you can go direct in the Google's top 10 search results for a given term.

Feed Burner Pro Is Now Free (Compliments by Google)

As you all probably know Google recently acquired Feed Burner and the changes are visible already. Google made the Feed Burner Pro FREE for all! Before Google's acquisition the service was charged and was not available to everyone.

Define Goals For Your Blog!

Setting up goals you want to achieve is very very important! You need to define them upon starting your new blog! Only when you do that, you will try as much as you can to achieve them and the results will come eventually!

When I started this blog I had 4 goals that I wanted to achieve:

- Quality and Interesting Content
- Increasing (getting) PageRank
- Getting Backlinks
- Braking the Alexa top 100k blogs!

As you can see, I am not running any serious ad campaigns yet on my blog, and that is mainly because this blog is not just quite ready for them ;) Don't worry, I tend to make money with this blog too :)

1. Writing Quality and Interesting Content - I'm trying my best to provide high quality posts for my respected readers and I will never stop doing it and trying to improve! If you like what you see than please consider subscribing to my full RSS feed.

2. Increasing PageRank - As for PageRank, my blog is yet to be assigned one! I'm expecting at least PR2 when I get it! My Technorati rank is now in top 12,700 out of 6 Million blogs so I'm hoping the page rank will come soon!

3. Getting Backlinks - When I last checked, I have built 3205 Google backlinks and 4760 Yahoo backilnks! I'm working every day on increasing that number! If anyone is interested in a serious blogroll links exchange, please use the Contact me form and get in touch with me!

Improve Your Alexa Traffic Rank

When I started this blog my Alexa Traffic Rank was just over 7 million! You can imagine that I wasn't so happy with that rank! I blogged around a little bit and came across some tips on how to try and increase that ranking and I can tell you that Is working just fine for now!

Alexa traffic rank is based on a combined measure of page views and users! So, whenever a user visits your site he is recorded by Alexa! The more users end up on your site - the higher traffic rank for you!

Now, if you want to speed things up a little bit you should try and use the Alexa Redirect!

Here's what you do - add Alexa Redirect URL prior to your own URL wherever you can! My redirect URL looks like this

http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?makemoneywithkassper.blogspot.com

Go ahead and press it (for testing purposes of course;), you'll see that nothing special will happen, you'll just end up back here. My URL is just being redirected through Alexa back here!

So, your URL has to look exactly like this: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?yourURLhere (note that your URL has to be without http://www.)

When you use it, and someone clicks on it, your site is being redirected through Alexa, thus meaning a better traffic rank for you!

I use it on my Home Button, whenever I post a comment on other blogs and on almost every social community there is!

Back to my traffic info... Here are the results of this experiment for my blog - three months later (from that awful 7 million number ;) my traffic rank has increased big time!

Take a look at this statistics:

As you can see, the traffic rank for the last three months has jumped up for 5,445,512! It means that my blog is getting more traffic than all of those 5 million blogs!! Maybe it is getting more traffic, maybe not, but heck, the world thinks so, and most importantly - POTENTIAL ADVERTISERS THINK SO!

My goal is to brake the Alexa top 100k number because then the ADVERTISERS come storming in! Help lol!

7 Important Steps For Creating A Successful Blog?

Creating a successful blog is not easy at all. But it's also not impossible ;) Very often you see bloggers trying to do something with their blogs, but there is still a lot of them who can't find success in blogging.

Here are some of the most important steps you have to take on your way in creating a successful blog:

1. Choose A Niche For Your Blog - It's the decision you start with. Choose a niche you love - not like - LOVE! Only than you won't find it difficult writing quality material on your blog.

2. Choose A Blog Name - Suppose you want to write about "Basketball". Than you should choose a name which is highly connected with the name "Basketball" itself. For example "B-Ball Action" or "SlamDunkChamp" would be great names for your blog. Of course, you have to check that they are not already taken and if they are not, go ahead and register it.

3. Choose A Blog Platform - It's very important that you do your homework about Blog Platforms! There are several Blog Platforms you can choose from: Blogger, Wordpress, TypePad
Check out all of them and choose the one that suits you the most!

4. Choose A Blog Template - When you have chosen your Blog Platform, choose a template for your blog. There are lots of templates available around the internet so this is just the fun part.

5. Choose Your Posting Frequency - this is one of the most important factors to decide on. When you start posting, you should do it on a regular basis so your readers will know what to expect from you. If you start posting like a freak for a while and then don't post at all for a while you will find it difficult to keep your readers coming!

6. Always Be Active In Blogging - Visit other sites, if you have something to say at other blogs, then say it, don't just think about it and go away, join social communities online (I recommend MyBlogLog and Technorati to start with), interact with other bloggers around the web!

7. Write Interesting And Quality Content On Your Blog - if you can do that, you have a future in blogging ;)
